No. HPE GreenLake is an all-inclusive ‘as a Service model. This means HPE owns, manages, and maintains the equipment for you at your site. If a piece of hardware requires a refresh, HPE will arrange replacements and installation.

HPE uses metering technology to ensure accurate billing and capacity management. Light weight scripts are installed and connected to the metered equipment. Encrypted data is regularly pulled and sent back to HPE for processing before being fed into the HPE Consumption Analytics Portal. This allows you to measure by gigabytes at the storage level, right down to a device or set of devices (servers at the unit level), including individual blades (memory usage per virtual machine) and licenses for backup software or the backend terabytes for backup.
