Clear for Take-off: A Guide to Microsoft 365 Copilot Preparedness

Microsoft are not one to shy away from investing in big tech – and their newest tech innovation – M365 Copilot – is touted as the “Clippie glow-up on the century”.

Make no mistake about it – M365 Copilot will fundamentally change how we create and use information every day at work! M365 Copilot will harness the power of AI, to turn your words into the most powerful productivity tool on the planet!

In this session, a team of Data#3 and Microsoft Solution Specialists will take you on a journey – from discussing what Copilot is, to how it will revolutionise the way you work – but perhaps more importantly – how you can (and should) be preparing for deployment of Copilot within your M365 environment. There are some critical steps along the path to Copilot adoption that must be reached – or you will find yourself up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

With a focus on readiness, together we’ll delve into the importance of information governance, AI policies and the location of your data. We will also look at an often-dismissed aspect – how the hardware your users are running affects their experience of M365 Copilot (either negatively or positively).

Let us guide you through this journey to make sure you are clear for take-off!

Achieving Government Cyber Security Uplift: Has the Era of the Essential 8 Come to a Close?

As the Government looks to release the next Cyber Security Strategy, with the laudable goal of being the most cyber secure nation in the world, a pivotal emphasis must be placed on the enhancement of ICT infrastructure across Government. The Australian Cyber Security Centre’s (ACSC) Essential 8 (E8) have long been positioned as a beacon for organisations to shield themselves against a multitude of cyber threats.

In recent years, the Government has promoted these prioritised mitigation strategies as the cyber security standard for all organisations, and has dedicated substantial resources to the promotion and adoption of the E8 across the Federal Government. Nonetheless, the E8 does carry certain limitations and while their implementation can be instrumental in preventing threats, it often presents formidable challenges and substantial costs for most organisations to implement these mitigations effectively.

This presentation will evaluate the efficacy of the E8 in achieving ICT Uplift and discuss what (if any) additional or alternative cyber security mitigations/guidance may be needed to enhance the Government’s ICT posture.

Delinea: Walking a Tightrope Between Productivity and Security

Poor access management, default passwords, credential stuffing, phishing, and abusing stolen credentials and DDOS attacks are all too common causes of security breaches, keeping security leaders up at night. Couple this with businesses’ drive for productivity gains – it’s a balancing act.

In many ways walking a tightrope between security and productivity is less about achieving balance, which is a static state, and more about dynamically managing the imbalance. In this presentation, you will discover how the boundaries have blurred between corporates’ requirements for security while empowering people with less complexity to improve productivity. And uncover insights gained as business move beyond passwords, towards a passwordless experience, and focus on identity in their quest to keep people secure while delivering profit.
