Data#3 has announced that it has joined the Global IT Alliance (GITA). GITA allows customers to work with an alliance of international suppliers, safe in the knowledge that they each provide high levels of service. Prompted by the increasing demand for comprehensive global customer support, the alliance aims to help international companies solve their IT service needs, regardless of their worldwide location.
Data#3 is the eighth partner in the global alliance. Data#3’s Chief Executive Officer, Laurence Baynham commented, “Becoming a member of the GITA allows us to partner with companies that can offer the same high quality standards, in international markets in which we don’t have physical offices. This means we can offer and implement solutions with consistent service level agreements for global customers, leveraging the alliance.”
GITA started in 2014 when Bechtle AG, an IT services leader in Europe, recognised the demand from global customers. James Napp, Managing Director of Bechtle UK, and Bechtle’s GITA Director commented, “Our newest addition to the GITA, Data#3, is not only a true heavyweight in the Australian IT market, but also an outstanding partner who champions the same high standards for service, quality and accessibility as Bechtle.”
GITA has been built on Bechtle’s existing network of 66 IT system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and e-commerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries. Bechtle meticulously selects all GITA members in close cooperation with vendor partners. The international network already includes Atea (Scandinavia and the Baltic states), Datacentrix (South Africa), Data#3 (Australia), JBS (Japan), JOS (China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Singapore), Lexel (New Zealand) and PC Connection (USA). Plans to further expand the alliance are in progress.
“The alliance is consistent with our strategy to help customers achieve their business objectives, through our partnership approach,” concluded Baynham.
